FAQ’s

The purpose of this information is to familiarise you with Pevonia at DreamsDay Spa. We have anticipated the following questions you might have, as you make the decision to visit.

How early should I arrive for my Spa treatments?

If you have not visited DreamsDay Spa before we ask you to arrive 10 – 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete a medical history form and skin and body consultation, so we may be able to customise a program to best suit your requirements.

What do I need to bring?

Where required you will receive a robe and slippers to wear between treatments and a relaxation room for your personal belongings. You may choose to bring your bathing suit for the Hydrotherapy
Bath or Vichy Shower but generally we supply you with disposable underwear as your privacy is always held in high regard. Please do not bring valuables into the Spa, all care is taken but we do not accept responsibility for lost or stolen items.

What if I am late for my appointment?

Arriving late will simply limit the time of your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next client is not delayed.

Should I avoid using Pevonia products at DreamsDay Spa if I am pregnant?

Not all Pevonia products are suitable during pregnancy and your therapist will advise you accordingly. We do offer pregnancy massage to help ease any aches and pains.

Can I wear make-up?

You’re welcome to wear make-up, but it will be removed before certain treatments, such as facials.

Should men shave before a facial?

Yes, we recommend men shave a few hours before their facial.

Do I have to disrobe entirely for my treatment at DreamsDay Spa?

Undergarments are not necessary for body treatments. However, if you prefer, a bathing suit may be worn. For certain treatments a disposable g-string is provided. Please keep in mind; therapists are trained to drape towels or sheets discretely over any areas of your body not involved in the treatment and to protect your privacy at all times.

Is there someone to help me decide what treatmentsare best for me?

Our experienced staff can help you plan a program to suit your needs and interests. We welcome you to book a Pevonia consultation before any treatments commence. This can be done on the day or a separate visit.

Can I ask the therapist to adjust certain things to increase my comfort?

Definitely.

It is your time, and you should enjoy the experience. Ask to change the music or the lighting or fewer or more covers for example, or the amount of pressure applied during your massage. If you have a particular injury or physical condition, explain it to the therapist. They can suggest the appropriate adjustments or enhancements to treatments. There is no pressure to talk during a treatment. It’s entirely up to you. If you have questions or would like to talk during the session, certainly do so. The therapist takes their cues from you. If you are quiet, they will be too.

Is there a limit to the number of Spa treatments I should have in one day?

Three to four hours of treatments is usually the maximum recommended in one day. This is certainly only to be used as a general guideline as you may choose to spend the entire day with us, in which case we can provide you with a light lunch.
